Dominik is an upbeat and creative person and I have known him for almost 16 years. From his days as a writer for corporate materials, to mentoring young business people, and to having his inspirato play festival, he has shone in everything he has accomplished. Now, he is putting much of his time into the festival, and in doing so, giving back to the community.
Dominik was calling his campaign “Mansions for Youth,” inspired by the Keg Mansion on Jarvis St. in Toronto. He was going to host acting classes, playwriting workshops, and, at the end, the students were going to perform the plays in a ten minute festival. However, he was not selected by the Keg to participate in the “Thanks A Million” Campaign this year. Though he was not able to put his idea into fruition, it is clear Dominik has a genuine creative spirit and really puts back into the community with inspiration and passion.
Being in the creative industry, we have to support and pass on our knowledge to the rising talent. By giving youth the opportunity to experience and learn straight from the people in the industry, we are able to help them strengthen their future creative ideas. Dominik contributes a lot through his mentoring of future business entrepreneurs and through his inspiraTO festival.
Creating this small video for The Keg’s Thanks a Million Campaign, which donates forty grants, at $25,000 each, is a great way to support many young writers and actors.
