The Electricity of Spoken Word

June 25, 2012 | Client projects | by Keith

The Inspirato Festival brings twenty-four staged acts to life in four evening shows. Each show consists of six ten-minute plays and the audience is taken on a emotional journey that deals with “vision.”

From the moment you step into the Alumnae Theatre doors, there is an electricity that surrounds you and leaves your hair standing on end. Words are delivered, built upon, and arranged and rearranged in a live performance that spell binds you for two hours.

It is Silverpoint’s second year of documenting the actors in rehearsal, as well as the audiences’ personal reviews. The actors are interviewed while they are in the changing rooms, allowing us to create a comfortable environment for questioning. We are also restricted from filming in the auditorium opening night, which means that the interviews themselves are central and at the core of the film. This restriction affords us the opportunity to compliment the existing artistic atmosphere that is bursting through Alumnae’s auditorium doors with our own unique Silverpoint touch. This is why we are so interested in working alongside Dominik Loncar (director of Inspirato) and Lumir (set designer), because as artistic worlds gravitate together they tend to build upon one another in harmony.
