The ‘Mercer Retiree Solution’ helps take the worry out of retirement so retirees can focus on realizing their retirement dreams.

Purpose

Mercer, the world’s largest human resources consulting firm, needed a French and English commercial to launch their new retirement product, ‘Mercer Retiree Solution’. This solution allows employers’ retirees to access a complete suite of Mercer-designed health, travel and life insurance products.

Strategy

Mercer was truly courageous in trusting Silverpoint by adopting an unconventional approach to marketing in their industry. They approached us to create a spot to launch the product in the Canadian market. We believed that an emotional story would convey the value of ‘Mercer Retiree Solution’ more effectively than a straight-ahead product spot full of facts and figures and marketing jargon. We strongly felt that we could hit all the key messages while telling a simple human story that many can relate to.

The experience of nearing retirement is at once hopeful and apprehensive, as men and women worry about what their retirement may look like. As Mercer’s research points out, less than 30% of employers offer post-retirement benefits. We were able to show the profound difference that the ‘Mercer Retiree Solution’ had on a retiree’s life. They could now have a vision of a hopeful future, and pursue their dreams as a retiree without worry, thanks to Mercer.
